 Oliver Löffel studied at the Universities of Mainz and Lausanne. He is a founding partner of Löffel Abrar and was previously also a partner in another IP boutique in Düsseldorf. Sascha Abrar is an attorney with over 20 years of experience as a litigator in the field of intellectual property.  He advises companies and entrepreneurs in intellectual property matters, particularly in trademark and design disputes, in unfair competition law cases and trade secret disputes. He represents clients in national and international litigation before regional courts, higher regional courts and the Court of Justice of the European Union. His particular expertise are preliminary injunction proceedings, product piracy cases, anti-counterfeiting and lookalike and copycat litigation, both on the plaintiff and defendant side.

Oliver is a Bar-Certified Specialist Attorney for Intellectual Property Law since 2008 and regularly ranked inter alia by German JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms. JUVE praised his "strong litigation experience" and he was described as a "good litigator" and "innovative". The WTR 1000 World Trademark Review ranked him as "a powerful representative in IP and unfair competition proceedings". According to the current 2024 edition of Who's Who Legal (WWL), Oliver is one of the "Thought Leaders - Germany 2024" in trademark law and has been listed for many years by the ranking of Germany's Best Lawyers in the field of intellectual property law (Handelsblatt and US publisher Best-Lawyers).

Oliver Löffel is member of the Unfair Competition Committee of INTA (International Trademark Association), member of ECTA and member of GRUR (German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property), AGEM (Intellectual Property & Media Working Group DAV) and AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property).
