Silke Steinhagen studied Russian and English at Heidelberg University (translator) and law at FernUniversität in Hagen (LL.B.). After finishing her studies in Heidelberg she worked for Zellentin & Partner GbR (now Zellentin & Partner mbB), European Patent Attorneys. Her responsibilites included patent translations and trademark proceedings in the former states of the USSR. After a one-year stay in the USA she worked as a freelance translator before starting to study law. Her bachelor‘s thesis titled ‘Indications of Geographical Origin and Certification Marks‘ and was published in Hagener Juristische Beiträge in 2024.
