Trade secrets are of critical importance for companies of all sizes.
Trade secrets can exist in various forms in companies: technical innovations can constitute trade secrets, the same can apply to important company information such as customer lists, purchase or sales prices, calculation tables and business and marketing concepts, to name just a few examples.
The German trade secrets protection act (GeschGehG) considers the importance of trade secrets. The prerequisite for the protection of information as a trade secret is that the information has been made the subject of appropriate protective measures. We advise companies on the creation of effective concepts for the protection of business-critical information. Together with our clients, we identify effective protective measures, such as the creation of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), employee training, the drafting of guidelines or the establishment of a technical and organizational protection concept.
The unauthorized leakage of trade secrets and confidential information can cause major damage to companies. We help with the enforcement of claims due to a betrayal of secrets by employees or unauthorized access to confidential information by third parties. We also provide support in defending against claims based on unfounded allegations of betrayal of secrets.
